Ultra-accurate multi-functional built-in "TTL Converter"
The "TTL Converter" equipped as a standard feature, triggers INON strobe optically to enjoy fully automatic TTL. Exclusively developed for INON strobe based on its flash protocol to optimize its performance for underwater use. As an underwater strobe manufacturer, we successfully achieved the TTL Converter that provides constant, stable and highly accurate TTL exposure.
Following parameters can be controlled in the [External Speedlite control] menu of the EOS R6 Mark II.
External Speedlite control menu | Parameters that can be changed |
Flash firing | [Enable(*1)]/[Disable] |
E-TTL balance | [Ambience priority]/[Standard]/[Flash priority (*2)] |
E-TTLII meter | [Eval (Face Prty)]/[Evaluative]/[Average] |
Contin flash ctrl | [E-TTL each shot]/[E-TTL 1st shot] |
Slow synchro | [1/250-30sec. auto]/[1/250-60sec. auto]/[1/250 sec. (fixed)] |
Flash Function Settings Flash mode |
[E-TTL]/[M(*3)] |
Flash Function Settings Shutter synchronization |
[First-curtain synchronization]/[Second-curtain synchronization(*4)] |
Flash Function Settings Flash exposure compensation |
Exposure adjustment is adjustable |
(*1)When selecting [Enable], shutter speed is limited up to 1/250sec. regardless of INON strobe power setting. When not using a strobe, set to [Disable] not to have the limitation.
(*2)[Flash priority] is recommended in strong ambient light.
(*3)Manual flashing without pre-flash. Recommended to shoot shy subjects not to scare them with pre-flash.
(*4)Set to [M] when shooting in Manual flash mode on INON strobe at [Second-curtain synchronization]. INON strobe is not in synch when the flash mode is set to [E-TTL] and shutter speed is set to 1/8sec. or slower.

Strobe manual power is directly adjustable from camera
INON strobe manual power is directly adjustable from camera ranging between 1/64 and FULL at 1/3EV. increments. Useful when strobe is positioned away like on long strobe arm or when shooting with backlit technique.
12 shots/sec. continuous strobe firing (*5)
The TTL Converter fully supports [High speed continuous][High speed continuous+]. With ultra-accurate TTL shooting is now available for continuous shooting based on electricity stored in a capacitor6. INON TTL Converter strives efficiency in battery consumption not to miss precious moment and successfully provides more than 100,000 flash triggering only by two CR2032 coin batteries.
(*5)4 shots/sec.in [Continuous shooting], 12 shots/sec. in [Continuous shooting +].Tested by INON with fully charged camera battery.
(*6)Pause the strobe for a few minutes when taking more than 100 consecutive shots to avoid possible damage. When strobe output gets extremely low such as using S-TTL, open aperture or high ISO sensitivity, the strobe can shoot continuously until the battery gets flat but the strobe may be damaged by the load.
Built-in "Vacuum leak sensor" confirms housing sealing in 3 minutes
The "Vacuum Leak Sensor" ensures housing sealing by monitoring air pressure inside of the housing during leak check and warns accidental flooding with LED blinks and buzzer during diving. The onboard pressure sensor changes sensitivity for leak check and diving by variable control program (PAT. P).
The supersensitive pressure sensor detects even fine leakage. Not as like conventional leak sensors, it drastically shortens test time (from 30 seconds to 3 minutes). The sensitivity of the dive mode eliminates false alarm even when ambient temperature changes.
New S-MRS Port
Newly developed S-MRS (Magnetic Rotary System) controls focusing and zooming by magnetic attraction. The new S-MRS provides smoother operation with less play or rattle comparing to the previous model. By combining the EOS R6 Mark II with an RF lens, the MF Peaking function can also be used during full-time manual focusing. Together with the focus guide function, this enables ultra-precise focusing.
Maximum three MRS Control Rings can be installed to control the Control Ring, Focus Ring and SA Control Ring.
Optionally available "Quick Shoe System" for quick camera position switching between landscape and portrait composition
Quick camera orientation change between landscape and portrait is available by attaching two optional "Quick Shoe W50 Plate" on the housing body and using "Quick Shoe Main Base" which adopts INON unique Arca Swiss system and two "D5 Holder" as handles.
In addition to vertical composition without changing lighting position, it also allows you to shoot vertical composition from low angle which is not possible with conventional system.
Alternatively, the inexpensive "Grip Base D5" and "D5 Holder" combination is also available as an option.
Optional two bright viewfinders
Optional viewfinders provide same magnification as camera’s viewfinder (1.0x) and extends its eye-point. Two options are available: “Straight Viewfinder Unit ll” or angled “45 degree viewfinder Unit II(*7)” to choose depending on shooting conditions.
(*7)Viewfinders with serial number D294600 or later are compatible with the "X-2 R6 Mark II" housing. Earlier serial numbers are not compatible.
Factory modification is available if you own previous version and need to retrofit to use for the X-2 R6 Mark II housing. Please consult your purchasing dealer. |
Lightweight and compact ultra-precision cast aluminum body
The X-2 R5 is made from corrosion resistance aluminum alloy by ultraprecise cast manufacturing technique to fuse design, weight and durability in higher dimension.
The cast manufacturing technique enables thin body plate with complicated curved design which is not possible with machining. Lightweight and durable aluminum alloy body has acquired reliability, durability and controllability even in severe underwater.
